Arcane Odyssey isn’t just about exploring the War Seas, but many other regions as you progress further. The Dark Sea in Arcane Odyssey is an area that is beyond the War Seas, with new challenges for you to face. As you travel here, you’ll face harder monsters as well as environmental effects.
Strong enemies and NPCs can spawn here, as well as randomized bosses. This means that the Dark Sea can be quite unpredictable. As an adventurer, your best option is to and bring the best items into the area. In this guide, we’ll show you some item suggestions to help you optimize your build.
Best Dark Sea Build Guide
In the Dark Seas, you are very likely to be affected by many of the Insanity attacks. These may be the effects from the rain or face many of the monsters with these specific type of effects.
What makes this build special is that you’ll also have access to the Warding stat, which will grant you resistance to insanity attacks.
When it comes to all of the stats, this build will give you:
- +102 Power
- +360 Defense
- +62 Attack Size
- +54 Attack Speed
- +107 Agility
- +4 Warding
Fallen King Armor Set
First, you’ll want to get the The Fallen King armor set. This is a rare armor and accessory set which you can drop by defeating the King Calvus IV boss.
The chance of you getting any drop is 1/10, and 1/50 for a specific piece. These items provide you with power, attack size and also agility.
Theurgist Cloak
The next item you should equip is the Theurgist Cloak. This is one piece of the Theurgist Set, which is a level 1+ armor set you can obtain by going on Dark Sea expedition.
This item will focus on giving you stats like power, defense, agility, attack speed and +2 Warding stats.
In order to get this Cloak item, you’ll want to open Dark Sealed Chests in the Dark Sea. These items are relatively the same as the bronze chests with the only difference is that they are in the Dark Sea.
More specifically, you can get them by looting Atlantean Ships as well as Dark Sea Structures.
Cernyx’s Faulds
Also, consider getting the Cernyx’s Faulds, part of the Cernyx’s Set. This is a level 60-160 armor set that is obtained by defeating Cernyx.
This item will give you defense, power, attack speed as well as +1 Warding Stats. Your drop chance is 1/9 and you can also upgrade the item to up to level 160.
Build Breakdown
For each armor items and accessory pieces, it’s best for you to always enchant and socket them. You can choose to go for enchantments that give you:
- Warding (Virtuous Enchants)
- Energy Regeneration
- Agility
- Attack Size
- Defense
When it comes to your sockets, also consider using the Perfect Energy Morenci. This will give you a lot of Energy Regeneration as your second stat. Other than that, you’ll also receive a lot of speed as well as power given by the items.

Keep it in mind that if you want to go to the fifth or sixth layer, it’s best for you to bring the Warding potions with you.
Moreover, you must know that this set isn’t good for any of the other purposes. This is because you are prioritizing many of your enchantments on the Virtuous enchantment type (Warding stats).
If you want to do PvP or go in the Bronze Seas, it’s best for you to switch to a different set.
With this armor set, you’ll have an easier time surviving the Far Reaches of the Dark Seas. As you explore, you’ll be able to find and drop many of the rarer loot which will allow you to become stronger. This means that you’ll be able to access more content and find even better loot.
