The Feldcroft Region is home to16 Merlin Trialsthat can be cleared to make progress toward unlocking additionalGear Inventory Slots. Merlin Trials come in a variety of puzzles, each of which typically requires the use of at least one spell to complete.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trials

The numbers in the table above only serve to differentiate the Merlin Trials and do not refer to any designated order. Merlin Trials can be completed in the order of your choosing.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 1

• Spells Required: Reparo

To find this Merlin Trial, start at either Rockwood Castle or the Feldcroft Hamlet before following the trail heading north. This Merlin Trial will be on the trail but be wary of the various enemies that typically patrol this area. Once you've activated the Merlin Trial, use Revelio to reveal the location of three destroyed statues. Use Reparo to fix all three statues and you'll complete this Merlin Trial.

• Statue 1 - Found northwest of the Merlin Trial starting point, just across the dirt path.
• Statue 2 - Found atop the eastern cliff above the Merlin Trial starting point.
• Statue 3 - Found further along the trail heading northward.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 2

• Spells Required: Basic Cast

Found north of Rockwood Castle on the cliffs facing the miniature lake, this Merlin Trial will require you to destroy nine orbs that are grouped in threes. After beginning the trial, look to the southeast and destroy the three orbs that get marked in blue when you use Revelio. Next, look southwest and destroy the second trio of orbs on the hill above.

The last set of orbs, however, is across the lake to the northwest as seen in the image above. Either make the trek around or fly to the other side to get in range of your Basic Cast. Alternatively, if you walk up the southwestern hillside you can get close enough to use the spell Confringo.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 3

• Spells Required: Confringo

This Merlin Trial is located northwest of Rockwood Castle and it overlooks the river that wraps around the western Feldcroft Region. Start by scanning the area with Revelio to reveal the location of three nearby braziers. Your goal is to quickly light the braziers so all three of them are ablaze simultaneously.

To accomplish this, climb up the southeastern cliff and light the westernmost brazier before running northeast to light the second brazier. From here, look down the cliff toward the north and light the brazier below to complete this Merlin Trial.

If you find it difficult to get all three braziers lit at the same time, remember to maximize Confringo's range to minimize the amount of time you waste running from brazier to brazier.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 4

• Spells Required: N/A

Once you've arrived at this Merlin Trial west of Rockwood Castle, sprinkle Mallowsweet Leaves on the altar and look toward the water to find four stone platforms. To complete this trial, hop onto the rightmost platform and jump across the stones until you reach the fourth and final one.

You must make it across all four platforms in a single attempt to check this Merlin Trial off your list. If you happen to miss a jump and go for a swim, simply head back to the longest platform and try again.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 5

• Spells Required: Confringo

To reach this Merlin Trial, head to the South Feldcroft Floo Flame and travel due west until you hit the nearby coast. Once you've activated the Merlin Trial, use Revelio to mark five stones in the area that have distinct green-colored carvings. Blast all five stones with Confringo to destroy them and complete this trial.

• Stone 1 - Found just southwest of the Merlin altar.
• Stone 2 - Found atop the rock formation to the northeast.
• Stone 3 - Found on the southern coast.
• Stone 4 - Found atop the rock formation south of the Merlin altar.
• Stone 5 - Found atop the eastern rock formation.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 6

• Spells Required: Basic Cast, Depulso, or Accio

After you activate this Merlin Trial that's found on the coast south of the Hamlet of Feldcroft, turn around to face the northeast and you'll find a large crater in the ridge ahead. To find the orb that you'll need to complete this trial, travel northeast to reach the end of the ridge and the orb can be found on a cliff to your left.

Now you'll need to escort the orb into the crater at the bottom of the ridge. This can be done by hitting the orb with a four-hit combo of your Basic Cast or by using Depulso or Accio to maneuver the orb down the hill and into the crater.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 7

• Spells Required: Confringo

The seventh Merlin Trial sits just southwest of the North Feldcroft Floo Flame and on the outskirts of the nearby Small Bandit Camp. Because of its proximity to the Bandit Camp, you should prepare for a battle as you may be spotted by patrolling Ashwinder Soldiers.

After spreading Mallowsweet and activating the trial, use Revelio to locate five stones in the area that are marked with green carvings. Use Confringo to destroy the stones described below and you'll wrap up this Merlin Trial.

• Stones 1 & 2 - Found east of the Merlin altar.
• Stone 3 - Located on the rock northeast of the Merlin altar.
• Stones 4 & 5 - These stones sit on the hillside to the southwest, but they will be blocked from your view by the nearby structure if you don't use Revelio to mark their location.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 8

• Spells Required: Flipendo

This Merlin Trial is located toward the northern end of Feldcroft near the Small Bandit Camp that you may have visited as part of The Lost Child Natty Quest. Found just east of the Ancient Magic Hotspot in the area, this Merlin Trial tasks you with rotating stone cubes to match the symbols on the cubes below them.

When using Flipendo to rotate the cubes. a single cast of Flipendo will rotate the cube in the direction you're facing one time. However, it's not enough to simply get the correct symbols on the same plane, you also need to ensure that the symbols aren't upside down or turned at an incorrect angle.

When you get the cube symbols lined up perfectly, they'll get covered in vines to indicate that you can move on to the next set of cubes. To finish this Merlin Trial, you'll need to solve all three of the cube puzzles surrounding the encampment.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 9

• Spells Required: N/A

This Merlin Trial can be found by traveling to the North Feldcroft Floo Flame before heading southwest into the closest Small Bandit Camp. Because this trial is found at the center of the Small Bandit Camp, you won't have the luxury of avoiding combat. Take down Ranrok's Loyalists and you can then peacefully spread your Mallowsweet to start the trial.

To complete the Merlin Trial, climb atop the westernmost stone block and hurdle over to the following blocks. When you reach the third block your path may be blocked by wooden crates and barrels. Destroy them with the spell of your choosing then leap to the end of this makeshift obstacle course to wrap up this trial.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 10

• Spells Required: Flipendo

Found southwest of the twin Bandit Camps in North Feldcroft, this Merlin Trial will task you with destroying five stones marked with green carvings. Though four of these stones can be seen from the Merlin Trial altar, the fifth one is slightly trickier to find. If you're standing on the Merlin altar, your view of this stone will be obstructed by the southern rock formation.

Head down the path leading southwest and look to your left to find and destroy the stone.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 11

• Spells Required: Basic Cast

To discover this Merlin Trial, head east of the Feldcroft Hamlet toward the Troll Lair and Treasure Vault. After sprinkling Mallowsweet on the altar, search for and destroy the nine orbs in the surrounding area. The orbs will be split into groups of three and they're found in the areas described below.

• Orb Trio 1 - Found just northwest of the Merlin altar.
• Orb Trio 2 & 3 - The remaining six orbs are in the ruins northeast of the Merlin altar.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 12

• Spells Required: Confringo

The twelfth Merlin Trial in Feldcroft sits just northwest of the Feldcroft Catacomb Floo Flame. To complete this trial you'll need to use the spell Confringo to destroy five stones in the area that are marked with green carvings. If you have trouble locating the stones, remember that you can use Revelio to reveal their location.

Though this may seem relatively straightforward if you've completed the earlier Merlin Trials listed in this guide, this trial has a bit of a surprise.

One of the green-carved stones can be found at the base of a large rock formation to the west of the Merlin Trial start point. Once this stone it's destroyed, you'll reveal a secret passage covered in some foliage. Use Confringo or Incendio to burn down the foliage and you'll be rewarded with some Gear from a special chest.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 13

• Spells Required: Lumos

This butterfly-related Merlin Trial is located between the Feldcroft Catacomb Floo Flame and the Feldcroft Battle Arena. Start the trial by sprinkling Mallowsweet Leaves then use Revelio to ping the nearby stone enclosures. While the stone enclosures are all within a few feet of the Merlin Trial altar, the butterflies are quite a bit trickier to find.

Once you've found the butterflies described below, use the spell Lumos to guide them to any of the three stone enclosures surrounding the Merlin Altar.

• Butterflies 1 - Found below the rock formations south of the Merlin altar (pictured above).
• Butterflies 2 - Follow the path heading east and go up the steps to find the butterflies at the top of the hill.
• Butterflies 3 - From the Merlin altar look atop the western cliffs to spot the final group of butterflies.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 14

• Spells Required: Confringo

This Merlin Trial can be found almost perfectly between the Feldcroft Catacomb Floo Flame and the Hamlet of Irondale. After spreading Mallowsweet to begin the trial, use Revelio to reveal five nearby stones and blast them with your Confringo spell. The five stones are all visible from the Merlin Trial start point.

Because of this trial's proximity to a Small Bandit Camp, be prepared to take down the nearby Loyalists that will likely interrupt you.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 15

• Spells Required: Confringo

To reach this Merlin Trial, head to the Hamlet of Irondale and follow the path heading southwest to cross the small stone bridge. To successfully complete this trial you'll need to light three nearby braziers in quick succession so all three of them are ablaze simultaneously.

Because your goal is to have all three braziers lit at the same time, start by using Confringo on Brazier 2 first before running back across the bridge to light Brazier 3. Brazier 1 is the shortest of the three so it should be lit last or you'll likely run out of time.

• Brazier 1 - Found at the edge of the waterfall east of the Merlin altar.
• Brazier 2 - Located across the bridge to the northeast.
• Brazier 3 - Just southwest of the Merlin altar.

Feldcroft Region Merlin Trial 16

• Spells Required: Basic Cast

The final Merlin Trial in the Feldcroft Region is found in the center of the Irondale Hamlet. Once you've started the trial, use Revelio to reveal the location of nine orbs in the surrounding area and destroy them with the spell of your choosing. As always, the orbs will be grouped into trios so check the list below to learn their exact locations.

• Orb Trio 1 - East of the Merlin altar just in front of the cottage.
• Orb Trio 2 - Located atop the hillside northwest of the Merlin altar.
• Orb Trio 3 - Found down the southern hill near the Irondale Floo Flame.
