Gold Bullion Bars

We offer a wide variety of gold bullion bars for purchase, including both new and pre-owned bars from renowned refiners worldwide, such as the Royal Mint, Metalor, and Perth Mint.

These bars, typically made of pure gold, offer a tangible and secure way to own precious metal, making them a popular choice among investors worldwide.

Who Are Metalor?

Metalor, established in 1852 in Le Locle, Switzerland, has a rich history in the precious metal industry. The company was originally founded under the name Martin de Pury & Cie and specialised in smelting and rolling gold for the production of watch cases.

In 2016, the company was acquired by Tanaka Kikinzoku, a family-owned Japanese company established in 1885. Tanaka Kikinzoku is also a world leader in precious metals refining and manufacturing, with 3,500 employees. Both Metalor and Tanaka Kikinzoku are also among the five Referees at the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM).

Over time, the company expanded its operations and now offers a wide range of refining services for gold, silver, and other precious metals, as well as a variety of gold and silver products such as bars, coins, and granules.

Note to Potential Investors

Our advice usually follows that for a pure investment purchase you should compare premiums and go for the lowest possible. These are often, but not always, on coins rather than bars.

Remember that coins also have an advantage when you come to sell as you can sell part of your collection. Say for instance you have 30 gold 1 oz coins instead of a 1kg gold bar. You can sell say 5 of these when the price is right and it suits you whereas you would have to part with the full gold bar in a single transaction.
